scripted in close cooperation with the companies director of training
to ensure that the programmes met the needs of the company. During
production a presenter, actors, managers and real members of staff
were used to give the training modules as much credibility as possible.

The Bridging DVD consists of four programmes to be used to support world
wide sales and marketing of the BAE Systems Modular Bridging System used
for disaster relief and transporting vehicles and over gaps of up to
60 meters. The production made use of archive material and material specially
shot to support the programme as well as animated graphics to reinforce
the deployment of the bridges. Interactive DVDs of the programme have
been produced as a hand out to potential clients as well as mpeg 2 clips
to support marketing presentations.
Marks and Spencer
Talent Screening was produced for the recruitment department
of Marks and Spencer as an information programme to be shown to all
members of staff in all of the M & S branches. The aim of Talent
Screening was to illustrate a new method of recruitment that was
being adopted by the company. The programme was shot in London,
Newcastle and Scotland it’s fast paced, informative and entertaining.
Smiths Detection
Smiths Detection is ongoing and we have produced over six marketing
and product support information programmes to support sales, marketing
and major events. We are also producing interactive module based
training DVDs to support maintenance and operator training. The maintenance
programmes have all been shot using high definition equipment which
is used to ensure that the best possible quality is maintained
when showing close up detail of the repair and maintenance procedures
carried out on PCBs and miniaturised equipment.
The Electoral Commission
Nine training programmes have been produced and directed for the Electoral
Commission to support training for the European Elections Four programmes
were produced in English, Four programmes shot in North Wales in Welsh
language and the final programme shot and produced in Northern Ireland
which has some different electoral procedures than England and Wales.
The Key areas covered by the programmes were Running a Polling Station
in a European Parliamentary Election, Equality and Access, Customer
Care, Getting the most from your election training activities and
Running a polling station in Northern Ireland.
All of the programmes were produced in halls set up as “real” polling
stations with actors as voters, presiding officers and poll clerks
with two subject matter experts on hand to provide advice and guidance
to ensue that the procedures were carried credibly, accurately and
within the legal procedures set out by the law.
During shooting we often had members of the public wandering in
to vote thinking they were missing an election. As the majority
of the programmes were shot in the West country we had most of the
extras of Casualty as actors.
The programmes were all shot and edited in time to provide a valuable
training tool to support the written manual and training initiative
for the European Parliamentary Elections.
